THIS WEEK, DURING THE 35th ANNIVERSARY OF THE
SHAFER COMMISSION'S REPORT, OHIO'S DECRIM LAW
MAY BE CANCELLED IN CINCINNATI !!!

35 years ago today, on March 22, 1972, the National Commission on Marihuana (sic) and Drug Abuse,
chaired by former Pennsylvania Governor Raymond P. Shafer , recommended Congress change federal law
and State legislatures change state law so that possession of marijuana would no longer be a criminal offense.
Numerous states including Ohio, decriminalized possession to a payout ticket as a result of this
recommendation which is known as the Shafer Commission. The Shafer Commission concluded .....
"Therefore, the Commission recommends that the possession of marijuana for personal use no longer be an offense, and that
casual distribution of small amounts of marihuana for no remuneration, or insignificant remuneration, no longer be an offense.”

HEMPROCK RADIO RETURNS AFTER SEVEN YEARS !!!

After seven years without a place to call home, HempRock Radio, a show dedicated to working
towards Drug Law Reform, which includes talk, music, interviews and information, returns to Cincinnati and the World, here on HempRock.com.  Lynne Wilson, aka the Happy Hemptress,
Voice of the Resistance, added HempRock Radio as a new feature of HempRock Productions
which she started a year earlier to support her efforts in Drug & Marijuana law reform.
It aired for seven years on a local Cincinnati non-profit, all volunteer radio station from 1992
through 2000.
The Hemptress began her activism in 1990 with Gatewood Galbraith's 1991
Kentucky Gubernatorial campaign (He's running again in this May '07 race).
Among other things, HempRock produces the Cincinnati, Ohio Global Marijuana March,
including the upcoming May 5, 2007 GMM, and the Ohio Valley Reefer Rumble.
Lynne Wilson and HempRock is also one of the leaders since 2005, in the campaign to
stop the Cincinnati Marijuana Ordinance which sunsets on March 29, 2007.

NEW GROUP GROWS OUT OF THE CINCINNATI MARIJUANA ORDINANCE!!!
Citizen's for a Safer Cincinnati or www.cincinnatimarijuanalaw.com
have joined HempRock & others in the fight to end the Marijuana Ordinance

Now, HempRock, along with many other groups and citizens, have forged an alliance with a
group that has grown in the last year, to fight the Cincinnati Pot Ordinance.
Citizen's for a Safer Cincinnati or www.cincinnatimarijuanalaw.com,
is dedicated to stopping Cincinnati, Ohio's City Council from voting back into law, the Emergency Marijuana Ordinance which Sunsets after one year, on March 29th, 2007. Although in March 2006, the City Council claimed that the new Ordinance would be the magic bullet that would stop the violent crime in Cincinnati by helping get guns off the streets, it failed miserably and murder and violent crimes is higher and breaking records!
